Uji Efektivitas Kelembaban Sabun Transparan Ekstrak Rumput Laut Cokelat (Sargassum Cristaefolium C. Agardh) dengan Variasi Konsentrasi Sukrosa

Abstract

Sucrose in transparent soap as transparency agent and humectant to keep skin moisture. This research aims to know the moisture effectivity from transparent soap of S. cristaefolium extracts with variation concentration of sucrose (20%, 25%, 30%, 35%) on the skin and to found the best formula that have good transparency and  moisturizing effect. The study involved 11 women panelist (aged 20-35 years old), the skin moisture measured by Skin analyzer. The results showed that after five days application, the panelist skin moisture from 15-19% (dry skin) increases to 30-50% (normal category). All of formula have an effect to moisturize the skin but did not different significantly between of each formula (p > 0.05). conclusion is the F3 (sucrose 30%) is best formula which has good transparency and moisturizing effect.
