Uji Efektivitas Sediaan Suspensi Daun Kelor (Moringa oleifera Lam.) Terhadap Aktivitas Fagositosis Pada Mencit Jantan (Mus musculus)

Abstract

Ethanol extract of Moringa oleifera Lam. leaves has been reported to stimulate immune respons. Immune system is designed to defend the body against foreign invaders. This study was conducted to determine the effect of the Moringa oleifera Lam. suspension on phagocytosis activity in male mice (Mus musculus) using carbon clearance method. Nine animals were randomly divided into three groups, each group three animals. Group I given Aquadest as negative control, group II given Stimuno® syrup as positive control and group III given Moringa oleifera Lam. suspension at a dose of 250 mg/kg BW by orally for ten days respectively. After 48 hours of the last doses, mice injected with ink with 0,05 ml/mice as foreign invaders via tail vein. This study showed that the highest phagocytosis index value was shown in the group given Moringa oleifera Lam. suspension about 0,027, positive control with 0,021 and negative control with 0,011. Based on the results of statistical analysis using One Way ANOVA and continued with Significant Difference Test (LSD), it shows non significant effect between those three groups
