Development Formulation of Lemon Syrup (Citrus limon L.) in Facial Peeling Scrub With Variation Concentration of Tea-Stearate
Lemon fruit (Citrus limon L.) is a plant that high contains of vitamin C which is one of the natural antioxidant compounds. This research aimed to determine the most stable formulation and possessed the antioxidant activity of C. limon cream that formulated into facial peeling scrub. In this research, two formulations were designed with the variation of TEA-stearate concentration: 1:2 (FA) and 2:1 (FB). This research also used corn as scruber which particle size is 0.5 mm. Stability evaluation was done by observing the volume of cream, organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, type of emulsion, viscosity, and the rheorgram before and after accelerated conditionat test at 50C and 350C for 10 days (each cycle for 12 h). The results showed that both FA and FB were stable after testing. The rheogram of the two formulations showed thixotropy flow.
